Thaddeus Holownia: The Terra Nova Suite at the Tides Institute

EASTPORT, ME.- The Tides Institute and Museum of Art (TIMA) announces its 2010 season with new exhibitions, a film/lecture series and schedule of visiting artists. The Institute’s first exhibition of the season opened on Friday, June 25, 2010, featuring photographs by award-winning Canadian teacher, visual artist, letterpress printer and publisher, Thaddeus Holownia. Holownia’s work has been the subject of numerous exhibitions, including most recently, Thaddeus Holownia: The Terra Nova Suite, a twenty-five year survey of his Newfoundland and Labrador work presented by the Rooms Provincial Art Gallery in St. John’s, Newfoundland. During the past 25 years, Thaddeus Holownia has made repeated and extended visits to Newfoundland and Labrador.
