NEW YORK, N.Y.- The Studio Museum in Harlem announced the 201112 artists in residence: Njideka Akunyili, Meleko Mokgosi and Xaviera Simmons, as well as the appointment of Naima J. Keith as Assistant Curator. Since its founding in 1968, the Studio Museum has held a strong commitment to nurturing and advancing the careers of both visual artists of African descent and curators and arts professionals committed to these artists.
