BROOKLYN, NY.- Split Second invited the Brooklyn Museums online community to participate in a project that resulted in a small installation of Indian paintings from the Museums permanent collection. Taking its inspiration from the critically acclaimed book Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, by Malcolm Gladwell, this online experiment and resulting installation explores how our initial reaction to a work of art is affected by what we know, what were asked, and what were told about the object in question.
