Leading photographers donate celebrity portraits for NSPCC auction at Bonhams

LONDON.- Leading children’s charity the NSPCC and international auction house Bonhams will be holding a sale of iconic images by a host of world renowned photographers on 17 May 2012 to raise vital funds for the charity’s Rebuilding Childhood Appeal. Works by leading photographers will be donated to the auction with highlights to include Patrick Demarchelier’s stunning image of Christy Turlington taken in New York in 1986 and a playful shot of Brigitte Bardot and Sean Connery on the set of 1968 Western Shalako by celebrated British photographer, Terry O’Neill. Also featured is a striking portrait of British actor Oliver Reed by celebrity photographer, Alistair Morrison, whose subjects have included Bette Davis, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Cruise and Margaret Thatcher. A high profile exhibition of Morrison’s works was curated by the Duchess of Cambridge in 2007 in London. Further photographs
