A.B.A. Gallery Files Motion to Dismiss Baseless Claims

NEW YORK (BUSINESS WIRE).- A.B.A. Gallery, a leading New York-based art gallery specializing in 19th century, 20th century, and contemporary Russian works of art, today filed a motion to dismiss all claims against it and its owner Anatol Bekkerman previously made by Arthur Properties S.A. in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. The baseless claims relate to the purchase by Olekandr Savchuk in late 2006 and 2007 of 18 paintings by well-known Russian artists from A.B.A. Gallery for total consideration of $9.58 million. Arthur Properties, the named Plaintiff in the complaint, claims to be representing Mr. Savchuk, the actual purchaser of the paintings.
