AUBURN, IN.- Auctions America by RM enjoyed a successful return to Carlisle, Pennsylvania on the weekend, posting $2.79 million* in sales with 58% of all lots sold at its debut Fall Carlisle sale, September 29 – October 1. Held as part of Carlisle Events’ renowned Fall Carlisle Collector Car Weekend, the multi-day auction presented a diverse roster of 273 collector cars, joined by a select range of memorabilia before a packed house. Claiming top honors was a dramatically styled, show-quality 1959 DeSoto Firedome Convertible (pictured) which realized a final sales price of $99,000, closely followed by the sale of an exceptional, low-mileage 2001 BMW Z8 Roadster for $90,200. In addition, the auction included the sale of a 2006 Ford Escape, donated by Giant Food Stores, which sold for $11,500 with full proceeds benefiting the local Carlisle branch of the Salvation Army.
