MOSCOW.- Alexandra Catiere was born in 1978 in Minsk, Belarus. She fell in love with photograhy while studying at Minsk state linguistic university. In 2003, under the influence of her art guru, famous soviet artist Yuriy Kuper, she moved to New York where she completed a certificate program at the International Center of Photography. After graduating from ICP, she worked for a year in the studio of an internationally renowned photographer Irving Penn. In 2005 Alexandra Catiere was included in the list of 20 most promising emerging photographers of New York and became a participant of Art & Commerce, a traveling exhibition of emerging photographers that began its journey in D.U.M.B.O., NYC.
