LONDON.- Born in Loughborough in 1967, Nelson is internationally acclaimed for his meticulous sculptural installations. He was the recipient of a Paul Hamlyn Award in 2001 and has twice been short-listed for the Turner Prize. One of his large-scale installations, “The Coral Reef”, 2000, acquired by Tate in 2008, will be shown in the new Collection Displays at Tate Britain from 17 May 2010. His most recent work, “Quiver of Arrows”, 2010, can currently be seen in a solo exhibition at 303 Gallery, New York until 10 April. Nelson’s work has been presented in major group and solo exhibitions throughout the world.
