Exhibition at the Design Museum in London celebrates Puma’s new football kit designs

LONDON.- Design Museum and PUMA.Creative present ‘Interpretations of Africa: Football, Art and Design’, an exhibition celebrating PUMA’s new football kit designs for the ten PUMA partnered African National football teams. PUMA has commissioned a selection of Africa’s leading artists to create new artwork which has become the basis for the football kits design. ‘Interpretations of Africa: Football, Art and Design’ explores the response of the ten artists to a demanding brief, to design a new football kit whilst celebrating Africa’s unique visual identity and culture. The exhibition charts the artist’s journey, inspiration, and design process, demonstrating how Africa’s culture and history can be captured in both an artwork and a corresponding sportswear design. Artist involved include: Barthélémy Toguo of Cameroon, Zineb Sedira of Algeria and Godfrey Donker
