Call for Entries – TOPTEN / Surrealism / ALL Media
Surrealism is an art form that continues to fascinate the art public and allow an enormous liberty of expression to the artist, an expression of the unconscious activity of the mind. In Breton’s original manifest he defined surrealism as, “A transcription of thoughts without any form of control by reasoning and without any reference to aesthetic or moral considerations.” ARTROM Gallery would like to invite artists working within this realm to participate in this important on-line event.
THEME : Surrealism
MEDIA : All media – painting, photography. digital, colored pencils, pastel, mixed media,
collage, installation
EXTENDED DEADLINE DATE : August 11th
ENTRY FEE : €30,00 euro for 5 images
JURY :ARTROM Gallery is vey honored that Brigid Marlin, visionary artist and Founder of The Society for Art of Imagination has kindly accepted to jury the works in this International Comeptition. A work of imagination originates when artists express their awareness of some significant relationship with larger forces or realities using realism in an effort to reveal their secrets. It may be called by many names – Fantastic Realism, Surrealism, Magic Realism, Visionary Art, Inspirational Art – but the Society has chosen ‘Art of Imagination’ because it is the least restrictive and yet most unifying title.
PRIZES : The First Place Winner :: receives acceptance to become a Member of the ARTROM Gallery GUILD (value €175.00 euro), which includes an on-line Artist Portfolio always viewable in the AGG Artist Member Directory plus an e-announcement (value €80,00 euro) sent thru the ARTROM PRess Service to our extensive opt-in mailing list of over 20,000 addresses.
Vouchers to enter other AG Competitions will also be awarded.
