LLANDUDNO.- The work of influential contemporary American painter, Alex Katz, comes to North Wales as part of the 2010 national tour of ARTIST ROOMS, a new collection of modern and contemporary art held by Tate and National Galleries of Scotland. The exhibition at Mostyn in Llandudno runs from Saturday 20 November 2010 to Saturday 12 March 2011 as part of ARTIST ROOMS On Tour with the Art Fund. 20 paintings spanning his career make up the Alex Katz ROOM in the ARTIST ROOMS collection. Especially for this exhibition, they are accompanied by a freestanding work, Green Table, created by the artist in 1996, and lent by Anthony d’Offay.
