San Diego, CA.- The Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego is proud to announce artist appearances and exhibits for International Comic Con (to be held at the San Diego Convention Center from July 21st and 24th). The gallery will host Simone Bianchi and Randy Martinez as well as featuring the exhibitions “The Art of Ralph Bakshi” with a special guest Edward Bakshi and “Pencil, Ink and Story, The Art of Henry Scarpelli”. Marvel and DC Comics Super-Artist Simone Bianchi will be feted with a reception on Thursday, July 21st from 7 to 10 PM. Bianchi is one of the new breed of Marvel Comic artists whose work has revolutionized the way the Marvel characters look. Known for his use of watercolor half-tones and ink washes, Bianchi’s non-traditional comic book drawing style has catapulted him to the heights of the comic book world.  This reception for the artist will feature his most recent work on paper and canvas from both DC Comics and Marvel. The gallery will be exhibiting two exclusive editions from Bianchi, “The Call of the Knights” and “Batman”.
