LONDON.- The Art Loss Register announced the appointment of MaryKate Cleary (pictured right) as Manager of Historic Claims and Research and Julia Rickmeyer (pictured left) as European Clients Manager. MaryKate joins the London office to continue the exceptional work of Sarah Jackson, who ran the ALR’s Historic Claims and Research Department for over 19 years. Sarah leaves the company to spend more time with her husband and two-year-old daughter, but will continue to serve as a consultant on a number of restitution cases. MaryKate has previously worked for the ALR’s Cologne office, the Jewish Museum in New York, the art sales database ‘Artnet.com’, and completed an internship with Sotheby’s Restitution Department. She holds a BA in German Literature from Catholic University, Washington D.C., an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute, London, and has previously studied at both Humboldt Universitaet in Berlin and Te
