CINCINNATI, OH.- Carl Solway Gallery presents a solo exhibition of sculptures, paintings and drawings by internationally acclaimed artist Jun Kaneko. He is best known for free-standing, monumental ceramic sculptures utilizing simple shapes and elaborate surface design. His Dangos (Japanese for rounded form) may stand as high as thirteen feet. His abstract paintings are also large in scale, while his drawings are more intimate in nature. Jun Kaneko’s work is included in more than sixty museum collections including the Los Angeles County Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Smithsonian National Museum of American Art, Museum of Arts and Design in New York, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, National Gallery of Australia and The National Museum of Art in Osaka, Japan.
