OXFORD, UK – Modern Art Oxford presents a major
exhibition of paintings by Howard Hodgkin through 5 September 2010.
Comprising
over twenty works, Howard Hodgkin: Time and Place spans the last ten
years of
Hodgkin’s career and includes paintings not previously seen by a broader
public,
including a powerful body of new work. The exhibition comes more than
thirty
years after Hodgkin’s seminal 1976 survey at the Gallery, Forty-five
paintings
1949-1975, initiated by Nicholas Serota, and offers a fresh view of the
artist’s
work, revealing his continuing relevance as one of the most vital,
radical and
compelling painters of our time.
