Mexican Intangible Heritage Displayed in Washington’s National Mall

WASHINGTON, DC.- The 44th edition of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival celebrates the culture of Mexico, from June 24th to July 5th 2010, with the participation of more than 100 Mexican musicians, artisans and producers. The festival takes place at the National Mall in Washington D.C. At the inauguration, Arturo Sarukhan, Mexican Ambassador at The United States of America, remarked that the presence of Mexico in this forum will promote the cultural diversity of our country, rich in heritage and traditions, mainly in this important year of commemorations of the Bicentennial of the Independence and the Centennial of the Revolution.
