LONDON.-
A remarkable photographic record of thousands of
previously unseen images of modern Indian history, from the last days of
the Raj
through the 1960s have just been unearthed and revealed from large
yellow crates
by inheritor Aditya Arya. The memories may have turned sepia with age,
but the
images documenting the making of a free India are shown in archives by
photo‐journalist Kulwant Roy, who chronicled the destiny of changing
India for
five decades since the late 1930s. Launching on May 24th at Mayfair’s
Nehru
Centre will be a small selection of unseen images by the High
Commissioner of
India.
