 – The Austrian Frederick Kiesler Prize For Architecture and
The Arts 2010 will be

awarded to the
Austrian artist
Heimo Zobernig  by Claudia Schmied, Federal Minister
for
Education, Art and
Culture, in
the audience hall of the Federal Ministry in Vienna on 18
October
2010, at 5 p.m. The international jury – Tony Fretton, Francesca
von
Habsburg, Moritz Küng, Frédéric Migayrou and Nasrine Seraji – acknowledges “the
artist’s
unparalleled oeuvre and development [and] above all Heimo Zobernig’s artistic agility in subtly
undermining
established ways of seeing things and uncovering unexpected aspects.”
