LONDON.- Christie’s presents a group of free, public exhibitions dedicated to the theme of The Collector at The Museum of Mankind, London, from January 16th to 27th 2012. Showcasing Generation Y Collectors, an innovative loan exhibition displaying works of art from the collections of 30 young collectors, the free public exhibition also includes previews of 2 important forthcoming auctions; Living with Art, an intimate and exceptional private collection including works by Picasso, Miró and Brueghel; and The Printer’s Proof: Etchings by Lucian Freud from the Studio Prints Archive, a retrospective of prints by the late artist. Generation Y Collectors includes works of art from a variety of categories including Old Masters, Contemporary Art, Design, Sculpture, Furniture, Textiles and Photography.
